Thomas At The Florida Railroad Museum

If you have a little train lover you won’t want to miss A Day Out With Thomas this weekend!  Thomas is pulling into the station at the Florida Railroad Museum (located in Parrish Florida, in Manatee county) for a larger than life experience at Day Out With Thomas®: The GO GO Thomas Tour 2013, on March 16-17 & 23-24.

My little guy is an avid Thomas fan, we have been watching his movies, reading his books and singing Thomas songs for quite a few years now and my house is filled with Thomas tracks of all kinds, sizes and materials.  So it is no wonder that when I heard Thomas would be in Florida I quickly jumped at the opportunity to attend the Day Out With Thomas event at the Florida Railroad Museum in Parrish, FL (Manatee County).

It was a gorgeous and sunny day at the Florida Railroad Museum and there was a festive feel in the air as excited little boys and girls wearing Thomas T-shirts walked around the fair-like event.

As we arrived Thomas tooted and puffed smoke as it started one of his scheduled  rides.  The smiling bright blue engine took off with 4 cars filled with bright eyed kids.

While we waited for the next train ride there was a lot of things to entertain the kids, among them:

  • A Thomas video and story time tent
  • Train tables and sand tables for kids to play on
  • A bubble making station
  • A hay ride
  • An antique fire truck the kids could get on
  • Pictures with Sir Topham Hat
  • A Caboose kids can get on and explore
  • Jump houses and inflatable slides
  • Mini train ride

After having some fun on the jump houses and getting our picture taken with Sir Topham hat we finally boarded the train.  Thomas took us on a ride through  lush green trees and orange groves and we even got to see an alligator who had come out to warm up in the sun right next to the tracks.
