Funny Bunches of Goats: Goat Farm Tour In Naples

If you’re looking for a unique and heartwarming activity in Southwest Florida, a visit to Funny Bunches of Goats is a must. I first discovered this charming goat farm at the Cape Coral Art Festival, where their friendly goats stole my heart. When I learned they offered farm tours, I couldn’t wait to bring my family for an unforgettable experience. After all who doesn’t love petting baby goats! But this tour isn’t just about meeting goats—it’s about connecting with animals in a way that’s fun, educational, and truly unique.

A Brief History of Funny Bunches of Goats

Funny Bunches of Goats began in 2018 with Brady, the farm’s very first goat. Like many goat owners quickly discover, one goat just isn’t enough. Brady’s arrival was soon followed by more goats, and before long, the herd grew—along with a love for their funny antics. And this is where the name came from: “Funny Bunches of Goats”. The farm’s owners have since upgraded their herd with top-quality bloodlines, focusing on breeding goats for milk production, show competitions, and, of course, their friendly and lovable personalities. Today, Funny Bunches of Goats is not just a farm but a place families can visit and interact with the goats and spend a fun day bonding with these super cute animals.

What to Expect on the Farm Tour

When we arrived at Funny Bunches of Goats, we were greeted warmly and immediately introduced to the herd. The adult goats were so excited to see us, eagerly nibbling bread from our hands. It was such a delight to see how gentle, friendly and well-trained they were.

Next, we moved on to meet some of the younger kids, who were bouncing around and playing. The owners brought out a few of the adult goats along with three babies, including one that was just two weeks old. My daughter was thrilled to lead one of the goats on a leash to a seating area, where we could sit comfortably and interact with them.

The baby goats were the highlight of the tour. We cuddled and played with them while the two “older” kids entertained us with their playful antics. The youngest goat even fell asleep in my daughter’s lap, a moment made even more special when the owners let her name the baby goat Sally, after our beloved dog who passed away.

The owners also introduced us to a one-day-old preemie goat they were feeding with a dropper. Seeing this tiny, resilient animal was such a unique and touching experience. Throughout the tour, the owners shared fascinating insights about goat breeding, their personalities, and what makes them show-worthy. Their passion for their goats was evident in every detail, from the special homemade food they prepare for the moms to their dedication to the goats’ well-being.
