We love it because it lets us skip the planning stress. With one purchase, we get unlimited access all summer long—perfect for spontaneous day trips or weekend getaways. This year, it’s not just a good deal, it’s one of our favorite ways to keep the kids active, creative, and entertained all summer.

What is the LEGOLAND Summer Play Pass?

The Summer Play Pass is a limited-time offer that gives your family unlimited admission to one of the most fun and creative theme parks in Florida throughout the summer. It’s ideal for families who want flexibility, easy entertainment, and a good value—especially with the rising costs of travel and activities.

There are two versions of the Summer Play Pass, depending on how much fun you want to pack in.

Standard Summer Play Pass – $124*

  • Includes unlimited admission to LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park
  • Valid now through September 12, 2025
  • No block-out dates
  • Great if you’re mostly visiting the main park and don’t need water access

*Prices current as of May 2025. Subject to change. Taxes and fees not included.

We started with the Standard Pass, but after just one trip, we knew we’d be back for the Water Park and Peppa Pig rides. If you have kids of different ages—or even just want the option to cool off on hot days—the Resort Summer Play Pass gives you the most flexibility.

Your Summer Play Pass includes access to the brand-new LEGO Festival—a limited-time event running every weekend from May 3 to June 8. With five immersive play zones (including a LEGO Fortnite area and hands-on building adventures), it’s one of the most creative and interactive events LEGOLAND has ever hosted.

Want the full scoop? Check out our complete LEGO Festival guide here to see why it’s become one of our family’s favorite LEGOLAND experiences.

Why LEGOLAND’s Summer Play Pass Is Perfect for Families

We’ve been going to LEGOLAND Florida for years, and one of the things I appreciate most is how much the park actually caters to families—not just kids. The rides are fun, the park is manageable (even in the heat), and you’re never far from a shaded bench or splash area.

But with the Summer Play Pass, it becomes so much more than just a one-time outing. Here’s why we think it’s one of the best family-friendly theme park passes in Florida right now:

1. You don’t need to plan weeks ahead

We all have those mornings where no one knows what to do. With the pass, you can just grab sunscreen, hop in the car, and go. There’s no pressure to “see it all” in one day—because you can come back next weekend.

2. It pays for itself in 2 visits (or less)

Even a single-day LEGOLAND ticket can cost around $100 depending on the day, so after two visits, you’re already saving. Add in a visit to the LEGO Water Park or Peppa Pig Theme Park with the Resort Play Pass, and the value just keeps going up.

3. The LEGO Festival is included

We visited during LEGO Festival (which runs May 3 to June 8), and it’s now one of our favorite LEGOLAND experiences ever. Five themed zones, giant builds, Fortnite tie-ins, and interactive shows—all included in the pass. No extra ticket, no add-on cost.

4. Perfect for families with multiple kids and mixed ages

My youngest still loves the DUPLO rides, while my older teen had a blast with the LEGO Fortnite builds and the Dragon Coaster. The Summer Play Pass lets you explore at your own pace, find your favorite zones, and come back when you want more.

5. No blackout dates

This was a big deal for us. So many “summer” passes block out holidays or weekends. This one doesn’t. If you want to spend Fourth of July at LEGOLAND, you can. No surprises.

6. Affordable option for homeschoolers or stay-at-home families

If you’re looking for ways to keep kids active, engaged, and learning through play during the summer, this pass gives you an easy go-to activity without screens. It’s also great for field trips or adding a little reward after a tough week.

What’s Included – And What’s Not

Knowing exactly what’s covered by the Summer Play Pass helps avoid surprises. One of the things I appreciate about LEGOLAND is how transparent they are—you know what you’re getting. Still, here’s a quick breakdown to help you decide which pass makes the most sense for your family.

What’s Included in the Standard Summer Play Pass ($124)

  • Unlimited admission to LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park from now through September 12, 2025
  • No block-out dates
  • Access to rides, shows, character meet-and-greets, play areas, and seasonal events like the LEGO Festival
  • You can upgrade later if you decide to add more parks

What’s Included in the Resort Summer Play Pass ($153)

  • Everything in the standard pass, plus unlimited admission to:
    • LEGOLAND Water Park – great for cooling off in the afternoon
    • PEPPA PIG Theme Park – ideal for preschoolers and early elementary kids
    • SEA LIFE Aquarium – a brand-new attraction soft opening May 23 and fully opening June 6
    • No block-out dates or reservation requirements
SeaLife Aquarium Orlando
SeaLife Aquarium Orlando

What’s Not Included (for either pass)

  • Parking – Standard daily parking fees apply
  • Food, drinks, or souvenirs – You can bring your own snacks, or budget for meals inside the park
  • Photopass or Express Pass – These are available for an added cost if you want ride photos or to skip some lines
  • Hotel accommodations – You’ll need to book separately (I’ve included some great options later in this article)

Add-Ons Available

  • If you choose the Standard Play Pass but want to visit the Water Park, you can add a single-day Water Park ticket for $20 per pass at Guest Services
  • You can also upgrade from Standard to Resort at any time during your visit

This pass structure really worked for us. We started simple and added what we needed later—no pressure to make a big decision up front. Plus, the fact that you can upgrade in person is a huge help for families who need flexibility.

Upgrade Tips & Flexibility: Make the Most of Your Summer Play Pass

One of the reasons I recommend the Summer Play Pass so often—especially to other parents—is how flexible it is. You’re not stuck with what you buy on day one. You can adjust your pass, upgrade it, or even turn a regular day ticket into a full summer of fun.

Here’s how to make that work for you:

Already Bought a 1-Day Ticket? You Can Upgrade

If you’re visiting LEGOLAND Florida with a single-day ticket and end up loving it (spoiler: you will), don’t worry—you can upgrade your ticket to a Summer Play Pass before you leave. Just stop by Guest Services and ask for the upgrade. They’ll credit what you already paid toward the pass.

We did this ourselves after realizing we’d only scratched the surface during our first visit. Upgrading let us come back again and again without re-buying tickets.

Want to Add the Water Park or Peppa Pig Theme Park Later?

If you start with the Standard Play Pass, you’re not locked out of other parks forever. You can:

  • Pay $20 per person to add Water Park access for the day
  • Upgrade to the Resort Summer Play Pass to get access to all four parks for the rest of the summer

I really appreciated that we didn’t have to decide everything upfront. After one hot Florida afternoon, the water park started looking better and better—and we upgraded the next time we visited.

Flexible Scheduling for Busy Families

We all know summer doesn’t always go as planned. The best part of the Summer Play Pass is that it’s come-when-you-can. No blackout dates. No need to pick specific dates in advance. It’s great for families managing camps, work schedules, or just unpredictable weather.

Some weeks, we went twice. Some weeks, not at all. Either way, we always had it as a backup plan.

Best Hotels Near LEGOLAND Florida: Our Recommendations

Whether you’re visiting LEGOLAND Florida for a single day or planning a full summer of visits with the Play Pass, staying nearby can make your trip a lot more relaxing—especially with younger kids. We’ve stayed in the area a few different ways: at LEGOLAND hotels, nearby chains, and even doing day trips from Southwest Florida.

We’ve always thought that LEGOLAND is one of the best theme parks, and it’s also closer to Southwest Florida than the Orlando parks. We have sometimes driven from Cape Coral just to spend the day, but I do recommend staying for the weekend, not only to take advantage of the Summer Play Pass but to make your experience more relaxed, especially if you’re coming from Bonita Springs or Naples.

Here are our top picks, based on experience and research:

LEGOLAND® Hotel (Best for Immersive LEGO Fun)

If your kids are all-in on LEGO, this hotel is hard to beat. It’s literally steps from the park entrance, and the entire place feels like an extension of the park. Every room is themed (pirate, adventure, kingdom), and there’s a treasure hunt, in-room LEGO bricks, and nightly entertainment for kids. The breakfast buffet is also included and surprisingly good.

This is where we stayed on our first LEGOLAND visit, and it really made the whole weekend feel like a special experience—not just another theme park trip.

Perks:

  • Early park access for hotel guests
  • Themed rooms and activities
  • Free breakfast
  • Closest to the park (no driving required)

LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat (Best for Budget-Friendly Onsite Stay)

This is a great middle-ground if you want a themed experience but need to save a little. The Beach Retreat is across the street from the main park and offers colorful, bungalow-style rooms in a village-like setting with a giant outdoor play area in the middle.

Perks:

  • Great for younger kids who need room to run
  • More relaxed and open than the hotel
  • Pool and outdoor games
  • Free parking and breakfast included

We loved the layout here—it felt safe and easy to navigate, and our kids made friends just hanging out in the play zone after dinner.

Holiday Inn Winter Haven (Best Offsite Value)

If you’re looking to stay off-property but still be close (10–15 minutes by car), this Holiday Inn is one of the best options. It’s clean, quiet, and family-friendly, and it’s close to restaurants and shops in case you want to grab dinner outside the park.

Perks:

  • Lower price point than onsite hotels
  • Reliable and comfortable
  • Good for families with older kids or teens

Hampton Inn Winter Haven (Good Location + Free Breakfast)

We’ve stayed here during one of our spur-of-the-moment weekend visits. The free breakfast helped us save money, and the staff was super friendly. It’s also close enough that you’re not wasting time on the road—great if you’re trying to get to the park early to beat the heat.

If you’re planning to use the Summer Play Pass for multiple visits, booking a local hotel for a long weekend can be a great way to break up the summer and avoid burnout.

Frequently Asked Questions About the LEGOLAND Florida Summer Play Pass

Who gets in free at LEGOLAND Florida?

Children under 2 years old get free admission to LEGOLAND Florida. Occasionally, the park offers “Kids Go Free” promotions, where you can get a free child ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket—especially through official LEGO sets or authorized promotions. These deals are often seasonal, so it’s worth checking ahead.

What is the LEGOLAND Florida Express Pass?

The Express Pass is a paid add-on that lets you skip the regular lines for select rides and attractions. If you’re visiting during peak season or weekends, it can save you a lot of time. The Summer Play Pass doesn’t include the Express Pass, but you can buy it on the day of your visit or add it when booking online.

Is it cheaper to buy LEGOLAND tickets online or at the gate?

Yes—tickets are almost always cheaper online than at the gate. You’ll often find discounts, bundles, or limited-time offers that aren’t available at the park entrance. If you’re planning just a one-day visit before upgrading to the Summer Play Pass, buy your ticket online first to save a few dollars.

Is one day enough for LEGOLAND Florida?

It depends on the age of your kids and how much you want to do. You can definitely enjoy most of the main theme park in a day, especially with younger children. But if you’re adding the Water Park, Peppa Pig Theme Park, or visiting during events like the LEGO Festival, two days—or a pass—lets you experience everything without rushing. That’s why we love the Summer Play Pass—you can spread it out.

What’s the LEGOLAND Florida Summer Play Pass price?

  • $124 for the Standard Pass (LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park only)
  • $153 for the Resort Summer Play Pass (includes Water Park, Peppa Pig Theme Park, and SEA LIFE)

These prices are current as of May 2025 and may change. Parking and food are not included.

Is there a LEGOLAND Florida Summer Play Pass discount?

The Summer Play Pass is already heavily discounted, especially when compared to day tickets or regular annual passes. Occasionally, Florida residents or newsletter subscribers may receive limited-time discount codes or early access offers, but they’re not guaranteed.

Can I get LEGOLAND Florida tickets for $25?

While you might see headlines or ads for $25 tickets, these are usually promotions with blackout dates, group purchases, or limited child-only offers. It’s important to check the fine print. The Summer Play Pass offers far more flexibility and unlimited visits, making it a better deal long-term.

Are there LEGOLAND $35 tickets for Florida residents?

Sometimes, yes. In past years, LEGOLAND has offered $35 or $49 single-day tickets to Florida residents during promotional windows. These are usually tied to low-season visits or include restrictions. If you’re visiting more than once, the Play Pass offers better overall value.

Does LEGOLAND Florida offer an annual pass?

Yes—LEGOLAND offers annual passes with a wider range of benefits, like parking, food discounts, and access to seasonal events beyond summer. However, the Summer Play Pass is a great seasonal option if you’re focused on summer visits only.

Is there a Florida resident day pass for LEGOLAND?

Florida residents can sometimes purchase special one-day tickets at discounted rates, but again, they’re not always available and may have restrictions. Check the official LEGOLAND Florida website for current promotions.

Can I use a free child ticket promo code at LEGOLAND Florida?

Yes, if you have a valid free child ticket code from a LEGO set or special promotion, you can redeem it online or at the gate. Be sure to check expiration dates and blackout dates, and keep in mind that only one free child ticket is valid per paid adult ticket.

Is the LEGOLAND Florida Summer Play Pass Worth It?

For our family, the LEGOLAND Summer Play Pass has been one of the best summer investments we’ve made. It gave us the flexibility to plan around our lives—not the other way around—and turned last-minute “What should we do today?” moments into spontaneous theme park adventures.

Whether you’re local to Florida or within weekend-driving distance, this pass lets you make the most of summer with minimal stress. If you’re planning more than one visit—or want the option to come back again and again—it really does pay for itself.

The fact that it includes access to the brand-new LEGO Festival (one of our favorite LEGOLAND experiences yet) makes it an even better deal. You can read all about the festival’s themed zones, LEGO Fortnite builds, and family-friendly fun in our full LEGO Festival article here.

So if you’re looking for affordable summer fun in Florida that keeps your kids active, creative, and excited to get out of the house, the LEGOLAND Summer Play Pass might just be your new favorite thing.
