STEMtastic 2025: A Fun, Hands-On Science Event for Kids in Fort Myers

February 8, 2025 —

If you’re looking for engaging, hands-on activities for kids in Fort Myers, STEMtastic 2025 is the perfect event! Hosted by the School District of Lee County, The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, and the Edison Festival of Light, this free, family-friendly event brings together science, technology, engineering, and math in an exciting way.

I’ve attended STEMtastic in the past when my son was in robotics club, and I remember how much fun it was to see kids building, experimenting, and discovering through interactive exhibits. It’s a great way to spark curiosity and excitement for STEM—plus, there are over 100 exhibits to explore!

What to Expect at STEMtastic 2025

STEMtastic isn’t just a science fair—it’s an immersive learning experience designed to make STEM exciting for kids of all ages. Here’s what makes this event a must-visit:

Hands-On STEM Exhibits

With over 100 interactive exhibits, kids can explore robotics, engineering challenges, coding stations, science experiments, and more. If your child loves to build, create, or solve problems, they’ll find something that grabs their interest.

Career & Technical Education (CTE) Programs

For middle and high school students, this is a great opportunity to learn about Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs in Lee County schools. If your child is heading into 6th or 9th grade, they can check out the CTE Academies and Programs to see what fits their interests.

STEM Competitions & Robotics

One of my favorite things about STEMtastic is seeing the robotics demonstrations. If your child loves LEGOs, programming, or engineering challenges, they’ll love watching student teams showcase their robotic builds in action.

Food & Refreshments Available

Exploring all the exhibits works up an appetite! While this is a free event, food will be available for purchase, so you can grab a snack while your kids explore.
