The Rosen Centre in Orlando: Why It’s in a Class of It’s Own

Disclosure: I visited the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando and received a media rate, however all opinions are honest and are my own.

Last month as I was attending the Food & Wine Conference in Orlando I had the opportunity to stay at the Rosen Centre Hotel with my family.  There are countless lodging options in Orlando and in this particular occasion I had chosen the Rosen Centre because of it’s central location, it’s good value and because it has a nice pool for my kids to enjoy while I was at the conference.

The room was a good size, the hotel has a nice decor and everything was spotless.  The service was great, the staff was friendly and very accommodating letting us check in early and even offering access to the VIP lounge where breakfast was still being served on the day of our arrival.

These is what I consider a warm welcome. Cheeses, fruit and cookies where just the perfect snack after a day out be it at the parks or at a conference. Too bad that I didn’t get a chance to try any of it as the kids & my husband got to it before I did. 🙂

We received quite a warm welcome.  After a long day at the conference I came  back to find a tray of fruit, cheeses and cookies which my kids devoured in no time. The internet service was fast, the pool area was nice and the complimentary breakfast included a nice selection of cereal, fruit and pastries.

Our stay was very pleasant and I really have nothing but good things to say about the Rosen Centre Hotel. I could go on about it’s great restaurants and other amenities but what really won me over had nothing to do with the ideal location,  the amenities, the great service or the warm welcome; I fell in love with Rosen Hotels because of an article I read about Harris Rosen, owner and COO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts.

Hotels That Are Making A Difference

Rosen Hotels & Resorts is a privately held hotel company in Central Florida that currently owns and operates seven quality properties in the Orlando destination market.  I always try to support local businesses, specially those companies that are doing things right and I was really blown away by Mr. Rosen’s story of success through hard work and vision but most of all I loved to see what Rosen Hotels & Resorts has done for community in Orlando.  From a pilot program in Tangelo Park, a disadvantaged high-crime neighborhood in Orlando, that includes free preschool education for every 2 to 4 year old, mentoring for school age children, parenting classes and full college education scholarship for every high school graduate to providing funds for the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida and even programs that provide food, support and education in Haiti.  Thanks to the Harris Rosen Foundation’s Tangelo Park Program the high school graduation are has gone from 40% to 100%, more than 100 young adults have graduated from college and the crime rate in the are has dropped by 55%.

There are so many options when it comes to choosing a hotel in Orlando but few of them leave you feeling good about yourself.  I know that when traveling to Orlando I will be staying at the Rosen Hotels, why would I stay somewhere else?
