Marker 92 Bar and Bistro: Great Waterfront Restaurant in Cape Coral

One of the great things of living in Southwest Florida is that there are a lot of restaurant options when it comes to waterfront dining.  In Cape Coral one of my favorite places is Marker 92 located at the Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village.  The food is superb and whether you are inside enjoying the air conditioning and the warm and modern decor or dinning al fresco on the terrace you will marvel at the breathtaking views of the Caloosahatchee river, the Gulf of Mexico and Tarpon Marina.

We recently stayed at The Westin Cape Coral Resort for a weekend staycation with the family.  We had breakfast before taking the water taxi that leaves from the hotel to Fort Myers beach, which by the way is available to everyone and is the most relaxing and best way to get to the beach from Cape Coral.  From the moment we arrived I was really impressed with the service. Our server was friendly, efficient and great with the kids which really made for a memorable meal.

These delicious eggs benedict where as good as the view was beautiful.

I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict, my husband had an omelet and kids ordered the blueberry pancakes. I consider myself an eggs benedict expert and these eggs did not disappoint, the poached eggs where perfectly done and the olive oil citrus hollandaise sauce was fresh and light with just a hint of lemon.

My husband who is a big health buff loved that all of the choices on the menu where healthy and fresh.  The eggs are organic and there are also many gluten free options which are clearly marked on the menu.

Both of my kids devoured the pancakes and I was happy knowing that I did not have to coax anyone to get something healthy because the whole menu is filled with wholesome healthy dishes.

Later that day we came back for dinner. This time we had our meal outside and while taking in the beautiful view of the sun setting over the water, painting the sky with every shade of pink.  The kids loved looking at the boats on the marina and as I savored my macadamia and almond crusted grouper there was soft music playing in the background. I really loved live music but most of all I liked the fact that it was soothing and served as a good background letting us enjoy the meal as well as our conversation.
